Next Inyo Assoc. Meeting to have Irish Flavor

The next meeting of the Inyo Associates is set for Monday, March 18 at Sierra Adventure Center (formerly Bernasconi Center) in Big Pine. Social hour begins at 5:30 pm, and dinner starts at 6:30 pm.

Dr. McAteer and crew will provide a traditional Irish dinner. It will include corned beef and cabbage and accompaniments. We will be serenaded by Liz McAteer and Chuck Kilpatrick with Irish ballads. Local brewed beer will also be available.

Cost for the event is $20, whic will be used for improvements at the Center. Please RSVP by 5 pm March 13. Hope to see you there!

Directions: from Big Pine go westbound 0.5 miles on W. Crocker Avenue, turning at the Mobil Station in Big Pine, W. Crocker becomes Glacier Lodge Road follow it for 1.1 miles, turn right on Sugar Loaf Road at the Sierra Adventure sign and continue another mile to the facility.

USDA Rural Development Quarterly Meeting

ATV Access Meeting at Lone Pine Chamber

Reminder: There will be a meeting at the Lone Pine Chamber Courtyard at 120 S. Main Street in Lone Pine on Thursday, July 19 at 6 p.m. to finalize the pilot plan for ATV access around Lone Pine. Everyone is invited to attend and have input on what will be a part of the trail system. Input is needed to finalize the pilot plan for ATV access into and around Lone Pine for the purpose of utilizing local businesses and amenities.

This Month’s Members Meeting

Our Monthly Members Meeting will be July 12 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Bishop VFW at Short and First streets. We will have good food and beverages at no charge to members or their guests, so bring a friend!
The agenda will include updates for 2013 OVCVA Home Show, updates about the new Dog Park and a look ahead to projects of the city and Bishop Paiute Tribe. There will also be guest speakers with news of laws and tax changes that may effect you or your business.

This will be a busy meeting and we hope to see in attendance as many members and their guests as possible. Please call or email Dan Stone at (760) 873-7907 or danstoneovcva@gmail.com with the number of guests in your party so that we will be sure to have enough food and drinks.
